Alan Robert Varnado, 28, of Springfield, Louisiana passed away Friday, July 13th, 2018. He was the adoring father to his son Braylon Varnado and the devoted son of Bill and Angela Varnado. He is survived by his loving sister Jessica Varnado Puissegur and her husband Scott Puissegur, two nieces Ally and Macy, his grandparents June and Ray Hutchinson, and honorary grandmother Irene Kennedy, close companion Carla May, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert “Tibby” and Norma Varnado, and honorary grandfather Billie Kennedy.
Alan was an alumnus of Springfield High School, and an electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 995. He was a faithful Christian who attended church with his family. He loved to work in the field with his Paw Paw and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Alan brightened the day of all he met with his fun-loving personality and energetic spirit. There was always a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. Above all he loved and cherished his family and friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday from 8:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow at Woodland Baptist Church Cemetery in Springfield, Louisiana
