Amber Dawn Welch, 43 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at home.She was born on Tuesday, June 11, 1974, in Independence, Louisiana to Luther "Sammy" Welch and Teresa Welch. Amber was a member of the Westchurch Church of Christ.Despite her health issues throughout her life, Amber always had a positive outlook; they never kept her down. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her cat, Callie. Amber had a sweet, gentle spirit and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Amber is survived by her mother, Teresa Welch, her brothers, Christian Welch and his wife Elizabeth and John Welch and his wife Laura, her grandmother, Lorraine Morris and her husband Norman, her aunt, Linda Thompson and her husband Mike, her nieces, Caitlin and Ava Welch, her nephews, Caleb and Gage Welch, her cousins, Niki Husser and Heather Roper.
She is preceded in death by her father Luther "Sammy" Welch.
A Visitation for Amber will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Amber's Life will immediately follow visitation at 12pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula.
