Barbara Jean Jackson, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020, at Forest Manor Nursing Home. She was born on August 15, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Walter and Beulah Mae Alford.
Barbara is survived by her children, Jacqueline Anthony (Jackie), and William Ard III; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Lloyd and Vermel Taylor; brother, Mike Alford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, William Ard Jr; second husband, Donnie Jackson; daughter, Monica "Duke" Anthony; and brothers, Kenneth Wayne Alford and Ronnie Alford.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday following the visitation.
