Barbara Wentworth Beatty, 82 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019, in Hammond.She was born on Thursday, June 11, 1936, in Amite, Louisiana to Wayland M. Sr. and Theresa Rohner Wentworth. Barbara worked in the Insurance Industry for over 40 years, retiring from State National Life Insurance. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Barbara is survived by her son Phillip Alvin Beatty, Jr. and his wife Christy R., her grandsons, Phillip A.Beatty III of Missouri, Daniel J. Beatty of Marion, Arkansas, Stephen P. Beatty and his wife Elena of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Luke Beatty of Yazoo City,Mississippi, her great grandchildren, Daniel J. Beatty II of Arkansas andLakelyn R. Beatty of Arkansas, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Wayland M. Sr. and Theresa Rohner Wentworth, her husband Phillip Beatty, Sr. and her infant sister, her brothers, Wayland Wentworth, Jr. and Wyatt Wentworth.
A Visitation for Barbara will beheld on Wednesday, January 16, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Barbara's Life will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow at Tangipahoa Cemetery in Tangipahoa.
