Barry Joseph White, Sr. passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 surrounded by his family, at his residence in Springfield, Louisiana, at the age of 70.  He was born on Thursday, January 30, 1947 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Doris Ward White and Joseph Lester White.   Barry served as Constable of Ward 10 in Livingston Parish.  He was a member of Independence Lodge #458 F & AM Masonic Lodge in Independence, LA., and was an Honorary Deputy with the Killian Police Department.  His passions were driving Hot Rod Mustangs, woodworking that included carving knives and canes, and spending quality time with his adoring family.

Barry is survived by his beloved wife, Judith "Judy" Kathleen Ratcliff White; his three daughters, Kathleen Abels and her husband, Richie; Darlene Ouber-Bergeron and her husband, Stevie; and Kimberly White Decota and her husband, Darren; brother, Jerry White; aunt, Carmen Smith Andrews; and 9 adoring grandchildren, Jay Wall, III, Kirt Decota and his wife, Kourtney, Dale Ouber, Jo-Jo Ouber, Erica Abels, Blake Decota, Scotty Bergeron, McKenna Bergeron, and Cameron Bergeron.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Doris Ward White.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm.  Visitation will start at 9:00 am and continue until the Masonic Service begins at 11:00 am., after which the visitation will resume until the service begins at 1:00 pm with Brother Josh Powell and Brother Dane Blankenship presiding.  

Interment will follow in Killian Baptist Church Cemetery, Killian, Louisiana.
