Buster Sampere passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in Hammond, La. at the age of 84. He was born on Friday, February 2, 1934 in Cook County, Illinois. He was a resident of Independence, Louisiana. Buster loved dogs and never met a stranger. He also served our country in the United States Navy.
Buster is survived by his daughters, Laurie Rumfalo and Angela Bordok and her husband David; grandchildren, Brittney, Briana, Alisa and Dominick; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Giovanni and Luca; and sister, Catherine Sampere Pecararo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Angelina Sampere; wife, Rosalie Hall Sampere; brother, Frank Sampere; and sister Congetta Giamalva.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, La. 70401. The Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana .
