Carlo Anthony Vitrano passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Amite, Louisiana, at the age of 94. He was born on Tuesday, May 22, 1923 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Mary Triolo Vitrano and the late Vincent Vitrano. He was a resident of Kentwood, Louisiana.
Carlo is survived by his sisters, Catherine Eells and her husband Ronnie, and Mary Caruso; sister-in-law, Jerrie Vitrano; step-children, Billy, Sharon, and Carmen Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine O. Robillard; mother, Mary Triolo Vitrano; father, Vincent Vitrano; brothers, Jack Vitrano and his wife Rita, Joe Vitrano and his wife Lena, Johnnie Vitrano and his wife Ruth, Tony Vitrano and his wife MerleLynn, and Winky Vitrano; three sisters, Lena Triolo and her husband Charlie, Grace Guzzardo and her husband Joe, Rosalie and Theresa Vitrano, Sena Ciaccio and her husband Vince, Francis Leto and her husband Sam, and JoAnn Petitto and her husband Sam; and brother-in-law, Lee Caruso.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 609 3rd St., Independence, Louisiana 70443, on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
