Christopher Michael Cadman, age 13, died surrounded by beloved family, May 21, 2018, at his home in Hammond.

Christopher was born on November 11, 2004, in Chalmette, LA to parents Mike and Carissa Cadman. He was the older brother to Jase and Lola Cadman.  Chris was an expert on animals, and loved to visit the aquarium, the zoo, the alligator farm, and anywhere he could learn more about animals. Even at a very young age, his family members would call him to ask him to identify animals. He was a wonderful artist with a sharp and fantastic sense of humor.  He was a master at creating flip books and comic strips, and his awesomeness was unstoppable. He had a heart for others, and desired always to be with family and loved ones. He was a 7th grade student at Tangi Academy in Hammond.

Chris is preceded in death by his great-grandparents; Alfonso Meitin, Alberta Meitin Graf Lewis, Josephine Alfaro and Joseph G. Cadman, Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Michael Jr, and Carissa, his brother Jase and his sister Lola, his grandparents Larry and Tina Thonn, Michael Sr. and Robin Cadman, Linda Tzuanos, Chuck and Bridget Meitin, and His aunts and uncles, Trew and Haley Thonn, Lara and Billy George, Ashley Meitin and Emily Scribner, Misty Cadman Morales and Brock Cadman, and LeAnne George Daily.  His great grandparents, Noella and Larry Thonn, Sr., Mimi Landry, and Linda Spiers Cadman and his first cousins Cora Cooper; Shawn, Leah, and Brian Morales; Ava, Trew Jr, and Robby Thonn; and Nollie and Lucy George. He is also survived by dozens of beloved extended family on both sides.

Visitation and Funeral services will take place at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home located at 2000 North Morrison Blvd, in Hammond, LA. Visitation will take place Friday, May 25, 2018 from 4pm-8pm.  There will also be visitation Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 11am-1pm, with funeral services to follow.  Interment will immediately follow at Sandhill Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Flowers may be sent to McKneely Funeral Home. The family requests that guests share in this celebration of Chris’s life by wearing something green to the services.
