David Contreras Nieves, of Holden, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the age of 51. He was born on March 10, 1968, in El Capiri, Michoacan, Mexico, the son of the late Carmen Hernandez Contreras and the late Juana Nieves Mendoza.
David is survived by his children, Karen, Jose, Melissa, Janette, Nayeli, and Daniel Contreras; all his grand babies; 8 brothers and sisters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews,.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by 1 brother.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 5:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 7:00 pm.
Interment will be at a later date at Panteon Municipal Tzitzio in Tzitzio, Michoacan, Mexico.
