Deidre Joyce Smith, age 72 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Camelot Community Care Nursing Home in Hammond. She was born on Wednesday, April 24,1946, in Paris, Texas to Howard Marshall and Virginia Narvelle Moore. Deidre enjoyed life and loved gardening and knitting, but she especially loved spending time with her family.
Deidre is survived by her daughters, Christy Gross and her husband John and Tamara Meadows, her grandchildren, Rusha Shesler, Richard Meadows, Cassie Hodge, Kelli Landry, Seth Landry and Tatiana Alexander, 11 great grandchildren.
Deidre was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Marshall and Virginia Narvelle Moore and her sons, Ronald Howard Wilburn and Rushy Alexander.
A Visitation for Deidre will beheld on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Deidre's life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow at Holly Gardens Cemetery in Hammond.
