Dominick Angelo Muscarello passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017, at his residence in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 92. He was born on Friday, June 12, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of Hammond, Louisiana. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a decorated Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of the American Legion Hammond Post 156 and the Hammond Post No. 3652 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Joyce Marie Boiteaux Muscarello passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at her residence in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 86. She was born on Friday, May 15, 1931 and was a lifelong resident of Hammond, Louisiana. Joyce was a devoted and loving homemaker. She enjoyed needlepoint, she made stuffed rabbits for her grandchildren, and she had quite the sweet tooth - she adored chocolate.
Joyce and Dominick were married on April 30, 1948. They were happily married for 69 years. After three days apart, they have been eternally joined together again. Joyce and Dominick are survived by their beloved family: son, Richard D. Muscarello, son, Mark D. Muscarello (Mary), and daughter, Sharon Muscarello Lee; grandchildren, Mindy Notariano (John), Michelle Fischer (George), Matthew Muscarello (Mary), Suzanne Mesa (Javier), and Ross Lee (fiancée Lauren); and great-grandchildren, Kadence & Jeremy Fischer, Holly & Vivian Muscarello, Ava & Sam Mesa, and Rosalyn & Katherine Lee.
Dominick was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Grace Ferrara Muscarello and Michael Angelo Muscarello; brothers, Frank L. Muscarello, Thomas M. Muscarello, and Pete J. Muscarello; and sister, Rosalie M. Musso.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, George Joseph Boiteaux; mother, Flora May Chustz Boiteaux Hodges and stepfather, Herman B. Hodges.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service and the Celebration of Joyce and Dominick's lives in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and continue until 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond, Louisiana.
