Dorall Stice Forbes passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018, in Amite, Louisiana, at the age of 84. She was born on Friday, June 15, 1934 in Montevallo, Missouri. Dorall was a resident of Amite, Louisiana. She loved living for the Lord. Some of her greatest joys in life were singing, sewing and caring for her family. She was a very involved mother/homemaker, praying and singing with her children in all phases of life.
Dorall is survived by her children, Don Forbes and wife Sue, Bobby Forbes and wife Janet, DeWanna Champlin and husband Jimmy, and Cheryl Flynn and husband Dean; 12 grandchildren, Dana Hilbun, Bonnie Reeves, Chad Champlin, Julie Herron, Kim Loftis, Amber Champlin, Alan Forbes, Kari Tiller, Stephen Forbes, Cherie Forbes, Dawson and Danica Flynn; and 22 great-grandchildren: Jael, Calah, Luke, Joshua, and Philip Hilbun, Emily, Erin, and Erica Reeves, Dustin, Dylan and Levi Champlin, Brys and Gabe Herron, Kyle, Kaleb and Kaylee Samons, Levi, Michael and Joanna Forbes, Stephen, Benjamin and Dustin Tiller, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Robert "Bob" Williamson Forbes; parents Lester and Ethel Stice; son, Merrill Dan Forbes; granddaughter JoBeth Forbes; and siblings Wanita DiDio, Arlda Stice and Ila Woodhull.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Oak Grove Church of God, 23174 Hwy 40, Loranger, Louisiana 70446, on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home-Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 & Thursday, July 19, 2018, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Oak Grove Church of God, 23174 Hwy 40, Loranger, Louisiana 70446. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Loranger.
The services will be officiated by Michael Williamson and Chad Champlin.
