Dorothy D. Poche, 89 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away tragically on Monday, April 10, 2017, at her home.She was born on Monday, August 29, 1927, to Leo and Annette Drott. Dorothy enjoyed life and loved gardening, embroidery and her dog Minnie. Most of all, she especially loved spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Leo Poche and his wife Patrice, her daughter, Lynnette Fornea and her husband Michael, her daughter in law, Emma Elizabeth Poche, her grandchildren, William "Billy" E. Poche and his wife Michelle, Sandra Cable and her husband George, Jason Poche, Jennifer Meehan and her husband Dustin, Eric Fornea and Marcus Fornea and honorary grandson Chris Perry, her great grandchildren, Keith Ducote Reardon, Logan Isaac Meehan, Liam Isaiah Meehan, Spencer Alan Buhler and Brandon Gerald Smith, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Poche, Sr., her parents, Leo And Annette Drott, her son, William E. Poche, Jr. and her brother, Adam Drott.

A Memorial Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Memorial Service Celebrating Dorothy's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel.
