Eddie Gene Wilkinson, age 77 of Holden, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 18, 2019, at his home. He was born January 31, 1942 in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Lee and Berniece Delatte Wilkinson. Eddie was a resident of Holden, Louisiana. He enjoyed life and was a avid sports fan and loved the saints, loved to run dogs, hunt and fish, but he especially loved spending time with his family. Eddie was an Army veteran who served his country with duty, honor and courage. He was a Carpenter and worked out of the Carpenters local 1098 and 603 until he retired.
Eddie is survived by his daughters, Mary Paille and her husband Kevin and Pam Hoover and her husband Scott, his grandchildren, Samantha, TJ, Chris, Eddy, Kevin, Kaley, Kaitlynn and Kayleigh, his great grandchildren, Jaylynn, Maci, Delilah, Kendron and Brealon, his brother, Sammy Wilkinson and his sisters, Ann Isaacson and Elsie Cogley, also, many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Bernice Delatte Wilkinson, his wife, Gertrude Wilkinson, his brother, JR, his sisters, Lucille and Louise and his sons, Eddie Lee and Michael.
A Visitation for Eddie will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Eddie's Life will immediately follow Saturday's visitation at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Twin Pines Cemetery in Holden.
