It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the death of Eddie Louise Thomas Brignac Myers on July 12, 2018. She was 86 years old. Louise was born on September 1, 1931 in Van Burren, Arkansas to her parents Willis Edward Thomas and Susie Ann Sheppard Thomas. Louise was a long-time resident of Ponchatoula and Maurepas, Louisiana.

Louise graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with honors, and with a B.A. in Education in 1970. She then received her Master of Education Southeastern Louisiana University in 1972. She worked and retired from Maurepas High School as a dedicated teacher and counselor. After retiring, she became an accomplished bowler. She also spent time enjoying the company of family and friends, playing bingo, Pokeno and winning at the casino. She also enjoyed quiet time reading and crocheting.

Louise is survived by her sister, Carolyn Sue Langley; children, Donna Brignac Hanna and son-in-law Phillip, Janet Brignac Ouber and son-in-law Everett, Michael Brignac and daughter-in-law Rebecca and Dennis Brignac and daughter-in-law Yvette; grandchildren, April Forbes, David Hanna, Dustin Hanna, Brandi Ouber-Alphonso, Chase Brignac, Chaylon Mendolia, Bronson Brignac and Valerie Brignac; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Louise was preceded in death by her mother and father; husbands, Valmond Joseph Brignac and Frank Wren Myers; and siblings, Anna Lee Horn, Wanda Mae Owens, Eva Elizabeth Gregory, Maggie Caggianesi and William Henry Thomas.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 100 West Magnolia, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A graveside service will immediately follow at Maurepas Community Cemetery.
