Edward Michael Eichaker passed away at his residence on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Ponchatoula, LA, at the age of 57. He was born on Tuesday, April 26, 1960 in Sasebo, Japan to the late Ayako Eichaker and the late William Henry Eichaker. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran and a retired officer with New Orleans Police Department.
Edward is survived by his wife, Katherine Desplas Eichaker; daughter, Asaya C. Eichaker and Abram Hunt III; step son, Ronald P. Van Ampting and his wife Gina; and grandchildren, Matthew Van Ampting and Rebekah Van Ampting. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Beckstrom Eichaker and his brother, William Henry Eichaker, II.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers family requests donations to St Joseph Catholic Church, PO Box 368, Ponchatoula, LA 70454, in memory of Edward Michael Eichaker.
