Elois B. Simpson Sticker passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at the age of 88. She was born on Monday, November 26, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Prior to her retirement, Elois worked for the Tangipahoa Parish School Board as a substitute teacher and a school bus driver. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, & great great-grandmother who enjoyed spending quality time with her family and she loved her Bedico Baptist Church family.
Elois is survived by her beloved family: son, Donnie Simpson and his wife, Geraldine; son, Wayne Simpson and his wife, Dee; son, Daniel Simpson and his wife, Glenda; and daughter, Dot Kenney; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Nathan & Brenda Sticker, Dot & Roger Quave, Janet Chandler, and Patricia "Pat" Pole Eberhardt. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Rufus "Ken" Kennedy Sticker; son, Mark Sticker; grandson, Robbie Sticker; first husband, Mickey Simpson; mother, Lydia Allen Burnthorn O'Keefe; father, Raymond Robert Burnthorn; brother, Roy Burnthorn; and sister, Helen Shockley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Bedico Baptist Church, 28156 Highway 22 East, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:30 am. Visitation will be held at church beginning at 9:00 am until the service time of 11:30 am.
Interment will follow in Sticker Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
