Eloise Robertson Dickens passed away at home with her family on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the age of 96. She was born on Thursday, December 1, 1921 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. She was a kind mother that veered her children in the nurture and admonition of God.
Eloise is survived by her six children, Jean Jarldane, John and Karen Dickens, Frank and JoAnn Dickens, David and Cindy Dickens, Paul and Karen Dickens, and Carolyn and Tim Songy; sixteen grandchildren, Jason, Jenny, Amber, Jonathan, Josh, Johnny, Jodi, Justin, Paul, Rachael, Jered, Jacob, Jeffery, Daniel, Jordan and Nathaniel; and twenty great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Dickens and a daughter-in-law, Myrtle Bardwell Dickens; her parents, John O. Robertson and Eleinor Lavigine Robertson; and 5 siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Sandhill Cemetery.
