Elsie Marilyn Evans passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at the age of 62. She was born on Sunday, October 10, 1954 in Indiana to the late Elsie Green Gallop and the late James Gallop. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Elsie is survived by her daughter, Amanda Strahan and her husband Darrell; sons, James Aycock, and Steven Fenes; grandchildren, Marilyn Elizabeth Strahan, Kobe Cole, and Haylee Cole; and siblings, Brenda, Patty, and Clay Gallop.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Gallop; mother, Elsie Green Gallop; husband, James Evans; and siblings, Howard and Sidney Gallop.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA 70401, on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery.
