Frances Viola Fletcher, 70 years old of Killian, Louisiana, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, at her residence.
Frances is lovingly remembered by all who were honored to know, love, and be loved by her.
Frances was born in Independence on May 28th, 1948. She was a self-taught pianist who loved to play and sing for the Lord. Her music and voice were beautiful parts of weddings, church services and events. Frances enjoyed cooking, sharing and being surrounded by family and friends.
Surviving are her loving husband of 57 yrs, Richard Fletcher. They were married in Killian on September 30, 1962. her son, Christopher Fletcher and his wife Sherry Fletcher, son, Richard Pernell Fletcher and his wife Angie Fletcher, daughter, Lisa Descant and her husband Chris Descant; grandchildren, Kristen Krol, Tiffany Courtney, Cassie Comardelle, Timothy Rhodus and Ashley Richardson; great-grandchildren, JJ Courtney, Sophie Parker, Trent Richardson, Owen Comardelle, and Jax Fletcher; brother, Jimmy Herring, sisters, Brenda Richardson, Denise Brann, Shirley "Cookie" Burns, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Bertha Stukes and Hollis Herring.
Friends will be welcomed for visitation Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond. Prayers will be offered, memories shared and her life celebrated.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 10:00 am, with Bro. Jerry Hughes and Bro. Clinton Mitchell officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Holden.
