Frank Edward Gomez, a resident of Holden, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at the age of 92. He was born on Sunday, August 21, 1927, in Natalbany, Louisiana. Frank proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict and was a Bronze Star Recipient. He was a self-less person and a friend to all people, helping them anyway he could. Frank was also a founding member of the Bear Creek Hunting Club.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Anne Sullivan; grandchildren, Chad Sullivan and his wife DeeDee, Stephanie Guidry and her husband Kenneth, and Jonathan Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Derek Guidry and his wife Ashley, Cole Sullivan and his wife Ciera, Hunter Guidry, Tyler Sullivan, Cameron Sullivan and Ethan Guidry; great-great grandchildren, Isabella Guidry, Brennan Guidry and Harper Sullivan; sister-in-law, Verlie Gomez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Vera Gomez Sr.; son, Gary Gomez; wife, Betty Gomez; grandson, Byron Sullivan; son-in-law, Newman Sullivan Jr.; sisters, VeLore Lipscomb, Juanita Carr and Dauphine Wascomb; and brothers, Sidney Joseph Gomez Jr., Milton Gomez, Lucius Gomez and Wilfred Lee Gomez Sr.

Visitation for Family and Friends will be on Monday, June 1, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401. Visitation will continue at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home-Hammond, on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am.

Pallbearers will be Cole Sullivan, Hunter Guidry, Tyler Sullivan, Cameron Sullivan, Ethan Guidry and Brennan Guidry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chad Sullivan, Kenneth Guidry, Derek Guidry and Duane Mitchell.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.

Following mandates by Governor Edwards, the Funeral Home will be allowed to operate at 25% capacity. Please remember to practice social distancing and wear face masks. Thank you.
