Gail Avenel Gorsuch, 70, of Hammond, LA, passed away at her home on Friday, June 23, 2017. She was born in New Orleans, LA on April 8, 1947 to the late Roman Charles Avenel and Wilhelmina Oltmann Avenel Servary. She currently resided in Hammond, LA, but was previously a longtime resident of Covington, LA and Sevierville, TN.

Gail is survived by her 6 loving children: Laurie Seube Black of Maysville, KY; Charles (Megan) Seube of Glasgow, KY; Michael Creekmore and Robert (April) Creekmore, both of Fredricksburg, VA; Angel Creekmore of Hammond, LA; and Christina (Jeremy) Creekmore-Perry of Folsom, LA; and a step-son, Howard (Tammy) Gorsuch, Jr. of Atlanta, GA. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, her wonderful grandchildren: Ashley Black, Gregory (Brooke), Danacee (Clayton), Dustin, Christopher, Michael Jr., Ehrich, Nicole (David), Jessica, Oliviah, Kamren, Destiny, Kaylee (Tyler), Macie, and Chelsey; step grandchildren: Randy, Amanda (Blake), Christal (Willie), Cheyenna, Kaitlyn, Jennifer, Hope (Steven), Brittany, Ashley Yearwood, and Alexis; 28 great grandchildren; best friends, Elaine Mendoza and Sandy Bonura; as well as a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Howard Gorsuch, Sr., who left this Earth October 27, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Erica Catoire; step daughter, Madeline "Maggie" Gorsuch Magee; and step son Norman Gorsuch.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until service time. Interment will follow at Abita Springs Cemetery.
