George Robert Holton  passed away in his home surrounded by his family and was welcomed into Heaven by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 66.  He was born on Saturday, May 19, 1951 in Hammond, Louisiana  He was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.  Mr. George was the private business owner of Allied TV and was employed at North Oaks Medical Center.  He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Oak Knoll Country Club. He was a community servant having served as a past Parish Councilman of District 8 and as an active member and Deacon of Immanuel Baptist Church.  Mr. George lived for others, not for himself and he never met a stranger.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  

George is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda W. Holton; daughters, Holly Holton-Duncan and her husband Brian, Jaime Holton Gennardo and her husband Chad, and Ashley R. Easley; granddaughter, Lauren Duncan Kovacs and her husband Joseph, Madalyn Claire and Morgan Grace Duncan, and Genna Simone Gennardo; great-granddaughters, Audrey Cate, and Nora Jane Kovacs; one great-grandchild on the way; brother, William "Billy" Holton; and sister, Kathy T. Shockley and her husband Keith.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Helen Holton Tycer; great-grandson, David Kovacs; and sister, Eloise "Lo" Karcher and her husband Michael.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, LA on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 4:00 pm until  7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1503 Pecan St., Hammond, Louisiana 70401, beginning at 9:00 am until the Homecoming Service at 11:00 am.  

Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Park Cemetery.
