Gerald Mire passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the age of 76. He was born on Thursday, October 30, 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Josephine Peranio and John F. Mire. He was a resident of Livingston, Louisiana.
Gerald is survived by his ex-wifes, Debra Vegas, and Victoria Arnone Springstead; children, Gerald Mire, Jr. and his wife Danita, and Gregory J. Mire, Shelley Brady and her husband Kenneth, Christin Mire and her fiancé D.J. Bacile, and Warnie Gillam; brother, Gary Mire; and grandchildren, Laeken, Trey, Jaden, Brittany, Johnathan, Chelci, Lindsi, Alex, Taylor; and great grandchildren, Gabriel, Maylia, Yaz, Carter, Giana, Marianna, Khaliegh, Kaleb, Ray, Tucker, Owen, Brenna, Demi, Brayden, Jonathan and Heyleigh.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ricky Mire, and Ronald Mire; and parents, John and Josie Mire.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 14450 Hwy 442, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church Mausoleum.
