Gloria Lucille Brabham Alessi passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 surrounded by her family at her residence in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 88. She was born on Saturday, February 23, 1929 to the late Bessie Mae Dunn Brabham and the late James Corbett Brabham. She was a long time resident of Independence, Louisiana.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Gloria Gene Alessi Magee, Alisa Ann Alessi Fussell, Marie Alessi Smith, and Cindy Sue Alessi Adams; sons, Burnell Thomas Alessi, Gene Joseph Alessi,Jr., and Jeffrey Lynn Alessi; 15 grandsons; 6 granddaughters; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Mae Dunn Brabham and James Corbett Brabham; husband, Gene Joseph Alessi, Sr.; and sons, Joseph Corbett Alessi, Sr., and Daniel Ray Alessi, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Arcola Cemetery.
