Helen Fekete Nyeki Miller, age 93 of Albany, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Richard Murphy Hospice House. She was born on Friday, August 6, 1926.
Helen fought a two and a half year battle with leukemia and entered her heavenly home on October 17, 2019, at the age of 93. She was 6th. of 12 children born to Joe and Theresa Fekete.
Helen was happiest when she was baking bread, singing and being with her family.
Helen is survived by her children, Suzan (Louis), Laramie (Crystal), Helen Ann (Michael), and Mark, grandchildren, Nick, Stacie and Lindsey, six great-grandchildren, brother, Julius (Eddie).
She was preceded in death by first husband and father of her children, Joe Nyeki, second husband, Randolph Miller, son, Joe Lee, parents, Joe and Theresa Fekete, siblings, Joe, Elizabeth, Alex, Ernest,Irene, Eleanor, Everette (Bondy), Theresa, Franklin and Irwin.
Special thanks to her doctors, Dr. Rab, Dr. Ducombs and Dr. Oubre also North Oaks Hospice and Richard Murphy Hospice House for their gentle and kind care. And to Christine Thornhill for her love and support to Helen and her family.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Richard Murphy Hospice House in Helen's name.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Services will be held at Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church , on Monday, at 2:00 pm, with Reverend Daniel Vanek officiating.
Interment will follow in the Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
