Howard "Bud" Arrington Ward passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at his residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, surrounded by his family, at the age of 80.  He was born on Monday, May 31, 1937 in Whites Bluff, Mississippi. Bud was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He retired from Entergy/NOPSI after 37 years and served 4 1/2 years in the United States Air Force. He faithfully served as Deacon at French Corner Baptist Church and Gideon's Ministry.

 

Howard "Bud" is survived by his beloved family:  his wife of 59 years, Shelby Case Ward; son, Clint Ward and his wife, Denise; daughter, Beverly Ward; and son, Jason Ward; sisters, Gloria Ann Griffin and Barbara Jane Powell; grandchildren, Daniel Truxillo, Jr., Christina (Sean) Broussard, Christopher (Heather) Ward, Jason Ward, Jr., and Courtney Ward; and great-grandchildren, Cherish Broussard, Blaze Broussard, and Holland Ward.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Arrington Ward and Howard Houston Ward.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 am.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
