James Michael Buckley passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 57. He was born on Saturday, October 17, 1959 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Estelle Buckley and the late Albert Johnson. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
James is survived by his loving wife, Joan McLin; step-children, Danielle Peoples and her husband Kevin, Jennifer Labourdette and her husband Armand, Floyd Farlow and his wife Kathy, and Irvin Wayne Prevost; numerous brothers and sisters; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Johnson; mother, Estelle Buckley; sister, Sonia Buckley; and brother, Willie "Yogi" Washington.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Davies Cemetery.
