James "Coach" Mosley passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 83.  He was born on Monday, February 12, 1934 in Dixon, Mississippi to the late Juanita Watkins Mosley and the late Sampson D. Mosley.  He was a dedicated coach and teacher for over 50 years.  

James is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Sue McDonald Mosley; sons, Samuel Freeman Mosley and his wife Odalys, and Todd Mosley; step-children, Steve Bradley, Kim Bradley and his wife Lisa, Terry Bradley and his wife Barbara, and Tami Bradley Giacone and her husband Randy; sister, Dawn Mars; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Sampson D. Mosley; mother, Juanita Watkins Mosley; son, Michael Mosley; and siblings, Joaquain and Wayland  Mosley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Richard Murphy Hospice House, 1109 S Chestnut St, Hammond, LA 70403.
