James "Jimmy" Norman White, age 60 of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019, at home with his family by his side. He was born on Thursday, July 10, 1958, in Covington, Louisiana, to Noma White. Jimmy worked for Sears as an appliance service repair technician and supervisor for 20 years. He then retired and opened his own business, Jimmy's New and Used Bar and Restaurant Equipment, which has been in business for over 20 years. Jimmy enjoyed working, tinkering around in his shop, and boating. He loved life and spending time with his family.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Victoria "Vicki" Cannino White, and his children, Jamie White, Rachael Newsom (Lee Dupont), Charles White (Casey), and Robert "Robbie" Newsom (Kacie) as well as his five grandchildren, Liam White, Mya Mendoza, Diego Trejo, Landon Newsom and Amelia Dupont. Jimmy will also be fondly remembered by his mother, Noma White, and his brothers, Homer White (Leslie) and Robert White, plus many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Smith.

A visitation for Jimmy will be held on his birthday, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A memorial service celebrating Jimmy's life will immediately follow visitation at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
