Jarrod Darrin Hemphill, age 51 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. He was born on January 16, 1968, in Hammond, Louisiana, the son of Nolan Hemphill and the late Frances Anthony Wallace. He was a master electrician and a true outdoorsman and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved God, LSU, his family, and his late dog Rocky Darrin.
Jarrod is survived by his wife, Jill Marie Peterson Hemphill; father, Nolan Hemphill and stepmother, Dot Hemphill; son, Dustin Hemphill and fiance Madelyn Scott; daughter, Nicole "Nikki" Cazes and husband William; son, Jason Sawyer; grandchildren, Ilythia, Damien, and Adalyn Cazes, and Rosie Sawyer; sister, Lisa Helling and fiance Dennis Epps; brother, Brad Hemphill; and nieces and nephews, Samantha Hemphill, Tiffany Garner, and Brittney and Aaron Hemphill.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Anthony Wallace; and brother, Harold Hemphill.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Gene Decker officiating.
Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
