Jeanette Smith Stilley, 85 years old and resident of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017, at North Oaks Medical Center.

She was born November 21, 1931 in Natalbany, Louisiana. Mrs. Jeanette was a dairy farmer for 52 years and a charter member of Loranger Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Denral Shelton "Scooter" Stilley; 3 sons, Shelton (Clara), Jack (Suzanne), and Lloyd(Melissa) Stilley. 7 grandchildren, James Earl (Ashley) Stilley, Shad (Brianne) Stilley, Kayla Stilley, Faye (Randy) Newman, Jack "J.D." (Jennifer) Stilley, Charlie (Lacey) Ard, Misty (Mitch) Holton; 10 great-grandchildren, Hayes, Hyatt, Hadley, Mallory, Madelyn, Taylor, Lauren, Tyler, Jake, and Abigayle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Story Smith; daughter-in-law, Jackie Edwards Stilley; 6 sisters, Evelyn Chavers, Ruth Harper, Mildred Albin, Marguerite Chavers, Nelda Smith, and Helen Robinson.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Loranger Baptist Church, 5407 Highway 1062 in Loranger, from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm .

Interment will follow in the Loranger Community Cemetery.
