Jessica Jackson Simmons, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on January 17th, at the age of 27. She was born on September 17, 1993, in Hammond, Louisiana and was a graduate of Ponchatoula High School. Jessica enjoyed her work as a financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments in Hammond as well as the people she worked alongside. She enjoyed everything about the outdoors, from raising animals to hunting and fishing as well as sports. She was very crafty and enjoyed being a help to others. Above everything, Jessica loved her son, Cass. Her eyes sparkled and her beautiful smile would shine at the mention of him. She loved spending time at the ball parks watching her sweet boy play baseball and football. He was her whole world and she adored him with all of her heart. Jessica is so dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Jessica is survived by her parents, John and Lisa Simmons, biological father, Dennis Jackson son, Cass Anthony, brothers, Jacob and Jeremie Simmons, and James Henry Jackson Nephew Brantley Simmons and her boyfriend, Jared Broussard and his son Brighton
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis "D.J." Jackson, Jr., sister, Christa Simmons Champagne, and grandparents, Sylvia and Boykin Jackson and Peggy Gillespie and Boyce Simmons
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Harry McKneely & Son - Hammond on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond, Louisiana.
