Johnny Anthony passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at his residence, in Tickfaw, Louisiana at the age of 76. He was born on Friday, February 7, 1941 in Independence, Louisiana. To know daddy was to love him. He never met a stranger and was always there for anyone who needed him.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Glenda Olga Capps Anthony; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Richard Strahan and their children, Daniel Strahan and Destiny "Pumpkin" Strahan and daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Shane Savoie and their children, Little Shane Savoie and Emily "Pooter Scooty" Savoie; and his brother, George Anthony, Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Theresa Anthony; and his parents, George Anthony, Sr. and Tina Cellemone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening beginning at 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and Monday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.
Interment will follow in Bankston Cemetery 4th Ward, Independence, Louisiana.
