Johnny Lee “Butch” Talia, 73 years old of Hammond passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at his home in Hammond. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Talia and Ruby Hoyt Talia, his infant son Johnny Talia, Jr. and his brother Frank “Chico”Talia. 

Butch is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Charlotte Hampton Talia, his sister Barbara Stafford, his brother Philip Talia, his daughter Sharon Talia Giacone, his son, John“Skipper” Tallia and his wife Lisa Latino Tallia, his grandchildren, Brittany Giacone, Brooke Giacone, Laurel Tallia and Haley Giacone, his great grandson, Braxtyn Hom, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Butch’s life will forever be cherished in the lives that he touched. Butch was employed with Dupont Conglomerate Company for 36 years. He also served in the Louisiana National Guard. Butch was a talented custom cabinet builder for many years. Butch loved spending time with his family and friends. 

A Visitation for Butch will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.  A Funeral Service Celebrating Butch's Life will immediately follow visitation at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Rose Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum in Hammond.
