Joseph Anthony Bergeron , age 84 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on Sunday, February 3, 1935, in Hammond, Louisiana to Sylvester and Rose Giacone Bergeron. Joseph enjoyed life and loved gardening, fishing, going to the camp, cigars and the outdoors, but he especially loved spending time with his family.
Joseph is survived by his sons, Jerry Bergeron and his wife Cindy, John Bergeron and Anthony Bergeron and his wife Anne, his daughter, Angela "Miss Judy" Hendry and her husband Mr. Richard, 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Rose Giacone Bergeron, his wife, Mary DeArmond Bergeron, his son, David Bergeron, his sister, Rose Marie Hamerchick and his brother, Joseph Gerald Bergeron.
A Visitation for Joseph will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Memorial Service Celebrating Joseph's Life will immediately follow visitation at 1:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
