Joseph Ralf LeSaicherre was born in Ponchatoula on May 2, 1931 and passed away on March 18, 2020 at North Oaks Medical Center. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Eugenia “Sis" Hebert LeSaicherre, sister June Saint (Oscar) Neva LeSaichere, wife of deceased brother, Frank, brother in law, Jackie Robertson. Daughters, Lisa Thompson (Manson), Jeanie Collentro (Kevin). Sons, Jeffrey LeSaicherre (Cathy), Ralf LeSaicherre (Elizabeth), Chris LeSaicherre (Hyacinth), Frank LeSaicherre (Wendy), Danny LeSaicherre (Mally), and Joey Hebert (Michelle). Grandchildren, Heather Sellers (Scott), Jeff Alan LeSaicherre (Martha), Ryan LeSaicherre (Jessica), Kevin LeSaicherre (Sommer), Andrew LeSaicherre (Ashley), Kelsey LeSaicherre, Cory LeSaicherre (Erica), Michael LeSaicherre (Ellen), Jay LeSaicherre, Stephanie Baham (Jason), Lane Thompson (Brynn), Bryn Thompson (Emilia), Neil Thompson, Alexa LeSaicherre, Peyton LeSaicherre, Amanda LeSaicherre, Matthew LeSaicherre, Emily LeSaicherre, Erin Hebert, Jennifer Daigle (Kasey), Sarah Robbins (Clint), and Corban Burch (Rae). He had 24 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gilda Marie Henry LeSaicherre, parents Frank and Julia LeSaicherre, twin brother Ross LeSaicherre, brother Frank LeSaichere, and daughter-in-law, Pam Baham Hebert.
Ralf was a proud veteran of the United States military having served his country in Korea during the Korean War. He retired from Shell Oil Company in 1989 after 30 plus years of employment. He enjoyed time with family, traveling, boating, hunting, fishing and sports. He had a life long passion for farming, especially strawberries and gardening.
Due to the COVID-19 precautions, a private graveside service was held on Friday.
