Josie A. Stanga , 82 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in Hammond. She was born on Tuesday, September 11, 1934, in Tickfaw, Louisiana to Charles and Pearl Accardo. Josie was a longtime member of Bible Holiness Church in Ponchatoula, a Sunday School Teacher and was the past President of the Bible Holiness Ladies Missionary Group. Josie was very outgoing and never met a stranger and always went out of her way to help those in need. She was the owner of Snow King snow-ball stand for many years. Josie enjoyed life and loved her church, playing with her great grandchildren, talking with her friends, reading, traveling but especially loved spending time with her family. 

Josie is survived by her daughters, Gwen Domiano and her husband Ronney and Charlynn Mader and her husband Gregg, her grandchildren, Aimee Sable and her husband John and Ronney "Jay" Domiano and his wife Thasia, her great grandchildren, Ethan, Liam and Emma Sable, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Pearl Accardo, her husband, John T. Stanga, Sr., her son John T. Stanga, Jr., her sisters, Catherine Accardo and Lena Graziano and her brother, Joey Accardo. 

A Visitation for Josie will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Bible Holiness Church in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Josie's Life will immediately follow visitation at 12:00pm in the church. Interment will follow at Stanga Cemetery in Bedico
