Joy Joly Edwards passed away on Sunday July 30, 2017 at the age of 79. She was born on November 22, 1937 in New Orleans, LA to the late Charles and Ethel Joly. She was a long time resident of New Orleans and Houma, and then retired to Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Joy is survived by her daughter, Brenda Palmer and her husband Jerry Palmer.
She was Granny to Jessica Palmer Parent and her spouse Kade, Katelyn (Katie) Palmer, and Blaine Griffith.
She was the sister of Don Joly.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Edwards; and by her brother, Charles Joly, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, LA 70454 on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm., with the eulogy beginning at 5:30 pm.
