Karen Kay Burnthorne Fayard, 55 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at her home. She was born on August 26, 1960, in Amite, Louisiana.
Surviving are her sisters, Cathy Burnthorne Roberts (Edward) and Kelly Burnthorne Freeman (Jeff Hall); brother, Bert Burnthorne; ex-husband and best friend, Jackie "Beau" Armstrong; grandson, Patrick Todd Fayard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son, Todd Royal Fayard; and parents, Albert and Patricia Lewis Burnthorne.
Friends will be received Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Karen's guestbook can be viewed at www.harrymckneely.com.
