Katherine "Katie" Ann Costanza Bonura, 88 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, at home with her family by her side.
She was born on Saturday, April 21, 1928, in Hammond, Louisiana to Joseph and Mary Cali Costanza. Katie was a people person and enjoyed having company over. She would do anything for anyone, help with groceries, taking someone to a Dr. Appt. whatever she could do to help. Katie was just an all around good person who enjoyed life and loved gardening, shopping but especially loved spending time with her family.
Katie is survived by her daughter, Karen Bonura DePaula and her husband Charles, her granddaughter, Ashley Marie DePaula, her grandson, Scott Michael DePaula, her brother, Frank Costanza, her sisters, Marie Zaffuto and her husband Marion, Lou Accardo and her husband Oscar and Joann Roussel and her husband Robert, her sister-in-law, Manuella Bonura Ribando, also many nieces, nephew and close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Cali Costanza, her husband, Nick Joseph Bonura, Sr., her daughter, Betty Jane Bonura, her sons, Nick J. Bonura Jr. and Benjamin "Ben" Edward Bonura, her father in law and mother in law, Ben and Genevieve Bonura and brother in law, Anthony Bonura.
A Visitation for Katie will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 8:00am - 10:00am at St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Catholic Church in Albany. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Katie's Life will immediately follow visitation at 10:00am in the church. Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery in Hammond.
