Lena S. Marsiglia, 79 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018, in New Orleans. She was born on Tuesday, November 8, 1938, in Hammond, Louisiana to Sam and Connie Spalitta. Lena enjoyed life and loved to play pokeno, ceramics and cryptoquip puzzles. She was an avid cook book collector who loved to cook, especially for her family on Sunday’s.
Lena is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Vincent J. Marsiglia, her daughter, Marianne and her husband Ben, her son Vincent II and his wife Sandra, her 7 grandchildren, Laura and her husband Jean, Kevin, Vincent III, Sammy, Dominick, AJ and his wife Ashley and Jared, her 7 great grandchildren Kayla, Avery, Joel, Sutton, Scout, Grace and Vincent IV, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Lena is preceded in death by her baby daughter, Connie Marie, her parents, Sam and Connie Spalitta, and her brother, Frank Spalitta.
A Visitation for Lena will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Lena's Life will immediately follow visitation at 12:00pm in the Church. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Hammond.
