Lillian Hazel Yost Penalber passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 78. She was born on Saturday, February 4, 1939 in Vineland, New Jersey and was a longtime resident of Maurepas, Louisiana.
Lillian is survived by her loving family: son, Johnny Smith and his wife, Tammy, son, Raymond Smith and his wife, Andrea, son, Richard Smith, son, Tiddle Smith, and daughter, Faith Chauvin. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elwood Conrad Penalber, her son, Robert "Bobby" Smith, and her parents, Grace Reynold and John Yost.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday evening, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Friday morning, from 9:00 am until the service begins at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Maurepas Cemetery, Maurepas, Louisiana.
