Lillian "Lil" Harris Hillis, 86 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, at North Oaks Medical Center.
She was born on Sunday, September 13, 1931, in Hammond, daughter of the late Ernest Willard Harris and the late Edna Owens Harris.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Grace, son, Willard Hillis, step-daughter, Ella Leblanc, sister, Ella Mae Core, daughter like niece, Melinda Germany, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her significant other, Gene Leblanc, son, Charles Dwight Hillis, IV, sister, Sadie Mary Harris, brothers, J. C. Harris, Floyd Harris, and Norman Harris.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the New Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
