Linda Foret Treme, 67 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, in Hammond. She was born on Thursday, December 9, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Louis and Gloria Foret. Linda enjoyed life and loved crocheting, cooking, going to the casinos, baking and volunteering at North Oaks but especially loved spending time with her family. Linda never complained about anything and always had a smile on her face.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Michael Treme I, her son, Michael Treme II, her daughters, Rachel McCarroll and her husband Jeffrey Sr. and Michele DiMattia and her husband Tommy Sr., her grandchildren, Brittany Plaisance, Victoria Treme, Tommy DiMattia, Jr., Julian, Jeffrey Jr. and  Molly McCarroll, her great granddaughter, Olivia Strickland, her sisters, Nancy Veal, Cindy Dehghanpir and her husband Reza and Thelma Baham and her husband Kenneth, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Gloria Foret.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Linda's life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 10:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. A visitation for Linda will follow her funeral mass at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. Interment will follow visitation at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond.
