Lynette Marie Torres Edwards passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016, in Tickfaw, Louisiana, at the age of 48 after fighting a long and hard battle against cancer. She was born on Sunday, September 22, 1968, in Hammond, Louisiana to Josephine JoMarie Torres and the late Lenoard "Lenny" Torres.  She was a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

Lynette is survived by her husband of 30 years, Howard Edwards; son, Nicholas Scott Edwards; mother, Josephine JoMarie Torres; three sisters Monica Scafidel and husband Ronald, Therese Mosher and husband Delbert; and Dayna Bonfiglio and husband David; nephews, Adam Scafidel and wife Courtnie, Jonathan Scafidel and wife Brittany, Mitchell Mosher and wife Amy and David Bonfiglio II; great nieces, Camille Grace Scafidel and Allison Catherine Mosher; beloved dog, Shadow; and best friends, Lisa Brannon and Samantha Nicolosi.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lenoard "Lenny" Torres; grandparents, Frank and Phine Calderone and Clarence and Myrtle Torres; special aunt, Frances Calderone; and two nephews, Blake Anthony Desroche and Andrew Nolan Mosher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 9:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm. Internment will follow in Our Lady of Pompei Catholic Church Cemetery.
