Margaret Settoon Decota, age 59 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019, surrounded by her family. She was born on Wednesday, November 25, 1959, in Lutcher, Louisiana, to the late Henry "Leo" and Bertha LeBlanc Settoon and was a graduate of Ponchatoula High School.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Adam "AL" Decota, sons & daughters-in-law, Chris and Erin Decota, Kevin and Jessica Decota, granddaughters, Mackenzie and Kylie Decota; she was affectionately known as "MiMi" to Decota Harris, Braelon Newsham, and Kammy Johnson. She is also survived by her siblings, Janet S. DeGruy and her husband Melvin, Lee Settoon, Lester Settoon, Debbie Edwards and her husband Travis; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry "Leo" and Bertha LeBlanc Settoon, mother and father-in-law, Adam and Avis Barker Decota, and mother-in-law, Anna Sziber Decota.

Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, cross stitching, and puzzles, but most of all she loved spending time with her dogs and loving family.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula , 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Monday, September 2, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Ponchatoula Cemetery.

As a life long sports fan Margaret had a love of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. The Family request that those who attend the service please wear something purple or gold to show support.
