Marion Jones went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born on December 15, 1946 in Chesbrough, LA and was a resident of Hammond, LA for the past 26 years. Marion graduated from Chesbrough High in 1964 and went on to Cosmetology School in Baton Rouge, LA. Upon graduating she moved to Hammond where she met and married her husband Jesse. Marion loved family, cooking, interior decorating and gardening. She was a member of the Hammond Garden Club. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jesse J. Jones, Jr.; one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Jones Sanders and husband Chad; one sister, Sarah Mapes; three sister-in-laws, Ruby Stevens, Josie Stevens and Evie Stevens and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Allen Matthew Stevens and Mable Inez Hyde Stevens; five brothers, baby Adam, Monroe, Clayton, Charles Preston and Carroll. Visitation be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, LA., on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 11:00am until service time of 1:00pm.
