Marion Zaffuto passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, in Zachary, Louisiana, at the age of 95. He was born on Monday, July 17, 1922 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Victoria Pecoraro Zaffuto and the late Joseph Zaffuto. He was a resident of Albany, Louisiana. Marion was a Veteran of WWII, and a recipient of a Purple Heart medal. He resided in Baton Rouge for many years where he worked as a Barber and later retired as a Real Estate Agent and Broker.
Marion is survived by his wife, Marie C. Zaffuto, sons, Gregory Zaffuto and Joseph Zaffuto and his wife Patricia; step-sons, David Ridder and his wife Lydia and Danny Ridder; step-daughter, Linda Sherman; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Giuseppe Zaffuto; mother, Victoria Pecoraro Zaffuto; 8 siblings; and first wife, Rita Hebert Zaffuto.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 12:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Rose Memorial Cemetery.
