Marlise Jeanne Ory Harrell passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at the age of 65. She was born on Friday, October 26, 1951 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to Dr. Annebert Bender Ory and the late John Henry Ory. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Marlise is an alumni of Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana State University. She also practiced Law in the Hammond area for more than 35 years.
Marlise is survived by her mother, Dr. Annebert Ory; loving husband, Benjamin Claiborne Harrell, III; daughters, Amy Harrell, Laura Giancola, and Lillie Brooks and her husband Josh; siblings, Caroline Thompson, Fritz Ory and his wife Lindaree, John Ory and his wife Lori; and grandchildren, James, Jackson, and Davis Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Ory.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood.
